Sub-Acute Care

ueens Nassau offers a range of services in specialized care. Many individuals are admitted to Queens Nassau post hospitalization for short term transitional services. Some may be admitted for longer term specialized services.

Intravenous Therapy

I.V. certified nurses deliver care to the client requiring intravenous therapy. I.V.'s may be used for hydration and/or antibiotics.

Respiratory Care

Queens Nassau offers an array of specialty services for the client with a respiratory impairment. These services include:

• Oxygen
• Oximetry Monitoring
• Tracheostomy Care
• Suctioning

Wound Care

Skilled nurses provide wound care to patients with:

• Recent Amputations
• Abdominal Surgery
• Statis Ulcers
• Diabetic Foot Ulcers

Meticulous care is provided, including infection control measures, nutrition for healing, and pain management.
